The action was divided in three parts that was corresponding to the songs; Pet Shop Boys’ Always on my Mind, Marilyn Manson’s Beautiful People and Soft Cell’s Tainted Love. VampireBarbie performed distorted versions of the tunes with voice, prerecorded tapes, electric guitar and food processor, and other instruments.
In my action I reused some activities from Possessing Pain:
- I covered myself in baby powder and made series of red and black kissing mark on a window glass (writing a secret message in binary code).
. Then the glass was cleaned, perfume sprayed and the glass was covered with a thick white liquid (yoghurt). In the liquid I wrote a message starting with the lines: “because i have no sense of boundaries/because I masturbated too much as a child/because the color red makes me high”
- Finally I put some blood ampoules in my mouth, pressed it against the with white liquid covered glass and spitted out the “blood”.
